i’ve been planning out my upcoming semester and it’s looking crazy busy, so here are some of my goals to keep on track and keep sane:
take. breaks. i’m going to be on campus every day, monday through friday, and one of those days i won’t be leaving until 6pm. finding time to myself and taking a break is going to be essential to my mental and physical health.
utilize all of my devices in resources. i think i got by during fall semester only using my laptop, my phone, and my planner, which was easy enough. but getting used to my busy schedule this month i feel like i will need constant reminders of what’s coming up next in the day and the week. i’m currently attempting to sync all my calendars together, so that i can see it constantly.
budget. as pretty much everyone knows, i have a weak spot of chai lattes. and i already know, with my job being in such proximity to the school cafe, i will be there every day for one. i’m hoping i can mix that in with my starbucks budget so i don’t get too caught up, but this is the hardest goal to reach.
dance every chance i get. there are two things that really help me thrive and keep a level head: dancing and hugs, and i am currently lacking. while my love language is words of affirmation, physical affection like hugs are so super important to me to connect with people and feel better. dancing just gets out the extra energy that makes me anxious lol
be kind to myself. with this busy season, i’m hoping to not be so hard on myself when i mess up or slip up or am not at 100%. future me, you’ll be okay! pick your head up and keep going!
travel. since i go to school in the same town i’ve lived in since i was 12, i’m making it a goal to take weekends to visit my friends, take time away from here and give myself the time and space i need. i love traveling and i love seeing my friends, and i definitely want to have a lot of memories for this year.
