Spring 10x10, so far.Ā
Currently: Trying to get through 31 days of yoga, one week away from sending my dissertation prospectus to my committee, getting very angry when I see that itās snowed outside.

Day 5 of the 10x10 challenge and here's what I'm teaching in on this warm Friday. I had class outside. Students always think it's so cool when you have class outside...
Day 6 of the Spring 10x10. Enjoying the warmth, feeling great because I did no work over the weekend. Carving out time to relax can feel impossible, so I like to schedule non-working time in my planner along with working time. Also, if I write out all the things I have to do the next week and schedule the work ahead of time, itās much easier to chill out and watch TV/clean the house/cook/go for walks/take some time for pottery.Ā
Spring 10 x 10 Remix
Iām pretty excited to be joining in with Lee and Carolineās Spring 10 x 10 experiment, and I especially love that itās still pretty early in the season, so I still have a fair number of pieces in my wardrobe I havenāt really played with yet. Ā If youāre not familiar with a 10 x 10, the idea is that you pick 10 items of clothing to wear for 10 days, or 10 outfits (athletic gear and accessories not included). Ā If you want to check out my previous 10 x 10s, you can here. Ā
The go-round, I picked my 10 pieces based on 2 main categories: Ā easy things (no-brainer items I knew I would love wearing, ie: Birks, white jeans, white tee); and challenging things (items that havenāt been in regular rotation in a bit that Iām not 100% sure how to wear anymore, ie: white button-up, navy high tops, silk top). Ā I think thereās enough balance in there that Iāll be able to get outside of my comfort zone without being super hard on myself.
Iām expecting some pretty mild weather in the 60s and 70s, and because I wonāt always necessarily have to have outerwear, Iām including jackets anĀ āaccessoriesā rather than in my 10 pieces. Ā My bank of other accessories is fairly minimal, but I know this exercise always stretches me to differentiate outfits with all the tools I have. Ā
10 pieces:
denim culottes - J.Crew, old (other wash made in USA, other wash made from USA fabric, similar made responsibly) // white tee - EverlaneĀ // silk top - Everlane, old (similar) // striped tee - EverlaneĀ // high tops - ConverseĀ // white button-up - Everlane // white jeans - Leviās (other wash made in USA, similar made in USA) // low heel sandals - BornĀ // sandals - BirkenstockĀ // blue button-up - Steven Alan, old (other pattern)
Accessories:
necklace - IGWT, old (similar) // pin - Everlane, free with tee // lipsticks - Glossier, Mac // mini purse - Baggu // tote - Julia Rothman for Hillary Clinton, from the election // jacket - Leviās Water<Less // snapback - PatagoniaĀ // cotton bandana - Reclaimed Vintage, old (similar) // clutch - Asos, old (similar) // sunnies - Ray-Ban // glasses - Warby Parker // silk bandana - Rebecca Minkoff
Iāll be sharing my outfits day by day on Instagram, and then here at the end of the 10 days. Ā Follow along with me and other participants with #spring10x10!
