SPOOL A short film by Crypt TV
The short film is about two sisters who are struggling with their father's cognitive decline while investigating a mysterious hole in his house that seemingly has no bottom.
junkyarddemento, source of the video, says the following: We all have to deal with grief in some point of our lives. Imagine if there's an endless pit to go along with that? What is it? What's at the bottom? Is it the Sarlacc Pit? This weird and unusual story presents that otherwordly scenario to two sisters dealing with their ailing father.

Spool is a Crypt TV creation who's mission is to tell horror stories that bring the world closer together. We believe scary stories unite us and help us face our most powerful emotions. We want to create the next generation of iconic monsters -- with you and for you. The short was directed by Mike Manning, written by Mike Gerbino characterized by Jesse LaTourette (May) and Jessica Erin Martin (Erin).
NOTE: The Sarlacc Pit, located on Tatooine, is a sunken beast of enormous size with only its ghastly mouth visible, a beaked maw lined with spiky teeth, and well-muscled tentacles.
It is the lair of the Sarlacc, a creature that rests in the sandy well known as the Great Pit of Carkoon. The Sarlacc is a multi-tentacled alien beast whose immense, gaping maw is lined with sharp teeth, inhabiting the Great Pit of Carkoon, a hollow in the sand of the desert planet Tatooine. The Sarlacc is known for its ability to digest its prey over a period of thousands of years, with the digestive juices containing hallucinatory neurotoxins that suggest the Sarlacc absorbs the intelligence of its victims, allowing them to communicate with the spirits of the people they’ve eaten. The Sarlacc's digestive process is so slow that it takes no less than 30,000 years for one of the mandible monstrosities to grow to full size, giving them plenty of time to engage in heart-to-heart conversations with the people they’ve eaten and transforming them into a watery goo thanks to the mental communication that presumably stops them from getting too lonely spending millennia living in the dirt and scrambling around for their next delicious morsel before bursting to the surface in terrifying style.
i drew this to express how i hate citrus and how he doesn’t deserve spool
SPOOL IS COOL!
CITRUS IS A FOOL!
they have a relationship built on threats and desperation 😡
why doesnt spool just eat citrus
like citrus is able to regenerate and stuff
i think they should BOTH snack on each other
this is such a funny question im giggling
the real answer is that citrus would need way more soul energy to do that than he has- he mentions directly that he's basically always starving by default:
so combine that with apocalypse conditions and he's pretty much stuck in a soul famine right now. if spool ate any of his body he'd have to kill spool just to regenerate, most likely, and if he had another victim to eat on hand it'd be a net zero because all that energy would go to regeneration. nothing left for him to actually subsist on
i felted my spool mask and gouged his eyes out
kinda mid cause felting is messy but wtv
Oh yeah cahnged face caue im not painting white on red

SPOOL
Really enjoyed the new Citrus and Spool chapter! I like that we're getting a bit of a look into Spool's before all of this, especially with this shot
He loves birds. The vast majority of personalization in his room relates back to birds. There's also a pride flag and a poster of two male peacocks intertwined- it feels as though his birds were a big part of his identity before, to the extent that they even influenced his own identity as a queer man. (It makes me think of the one drawing Chester drew of Spool re-imagined as a bestial character- his animal was a peacock) Parakeets are supposed to be fairly long living pets.
I also like Spool not letting Citrus draw up the new rules of their dynamic. Citrus trying to essentially self destruct to atone for how he has hurt Spool isn't as noble as he thinks, and I'm glad that Spool was able to push them back onto equal footing.
That said I find it sinister and evil that because both Spool and Citrus are a reddish pink, its hard to tell if their tears are clear or bloody- just as its hard to tell how much of their connection is THEM and how much is the affliction guiding their hands.
