I'm not sure why, but Apollo was my first choice. After that Aphrodite. Hermes would probably be the better choice for your parent though.

yeah, I mean, we used to be close but we hadn’t spoken properly in a couple of years, so I don’t really have the right to be that sad about it. I think he’d’ve been very pissed off if people who didn’t even communicate with him regularly were acting super upset AFTER his death, but didn’t put in that much effort while he was alive. So I guess that’s my main thoughts about it. But also, I read on his blog a few years ago that he wanted to die before he got old, so I guess it wasn’t that much of a surprise either. I dunno. It still sucks, and things have been reminding me of him all week, and I keep seeing people who look like him (only to realise they don’t even look that much like him up close), so maybe it bothers me more than I think. Shrug. Anyway, thanks for asking.
