Glad to know I wasn’t overreacting. I actually (sort of) brought that up when I sent them a private message, and well...

Me: Plus depending on what you plan to do with the finished pieces it could also staggeringly increase the price of my work.

Them: [insert 2 paragraphs about how they’ve had bad commission experiences in the past, then going on about the dA/RPG thing] This shouldn't affect your pricing though, as it's not being re-sold in any way, unless you are under valuing your work.

Then after that they reiterate that the artwork won’t be resold, and that they’ll be the sole on owner of it.

@herkal answered: I have seen a lot of dA people doing that… Personally i don’t like it, at all, because it’s a “that’s my work” gallery, not like a blog or even an FB page where you can put/reblog stuff that aren’t made by you.

@elvenbeard answered: Even with credits given I’d find it an odd request? Like… your dA account is for your own works, not for posting the works of others, I thought. Idk, maybe it says something about that in the dA terms of use or something?

Firstly, thank you all for replying!

Secondly, I’m glad I’m not the only one who shares this opinion. I’m general pretty fine with people posting their commissioned piece offsite with credit, but with places like dA I agree, it’s definitely a “that’s my work” kinda site.

FIRST TIME finishing ME3? Oh, that’s a doozy. But I hope you figure out what you’re doing with the art!
