Finally he can change out of those old dirty sans clothes.
I tried my best to keep his general vibe and aesthetic while making him look the least like a Sans as possible (aside from the hood and pockets on his massive goopy coat).
Wanted to give him a bit more of a regal look. With the addition of a new crown design. (Itās separate from his old one)
So yeah this is just an overall redesign of him (that Iām gonna use to draw him going forward just in general) as well as his canon look in Splattertale

During some RPs in the Ink Serverā¢ļø we came up with nicknames to differentiate between our two Inkās, and we came up with Heart for ST! Ink and Bee for Hex!Ink!
And since bees make honey, well, this prompt basically drew itself :3
Theyāre having a sweet treat together :3
Fun detail: āHeartā wears a white heart pin (emblematic of his daughterās soul <3) to differentiate himself around other Inks :3
Heās a side character who doesnāt really play a huge role in the main plot but is still there and is present to a degree in Splatterās life.
Fresh acts as a babysitter for Splatter whenever the Star Sanses, Inkās Dads, AND Cross are all unavailable. Donāt worry he plays nice with her (sheās not a very suitable host, and if he hurts her then his friendship with Ink would be in jeopardy. Being friends with the Protector kinda grants you more chances of survival). Splatter just sees him as a bit weird.
He gave her replicas of his sunglasses when she was a baby (does not know how to give small children gifts). The letters canāt change on the replicas.

This truly is a central conflict for a story

Alrighty, so! As stated about this art shows one of if not The main conflict of Splattertale, with the reveal of our main antagonist, Error!
Because ofc no Ink-Centric story is complete without Error as an antagonistic force of SOME kind.
I kid, there are obviously options where heās not lol.
But yeah. Also heās not really a villain here heās just, opposed to the protagonists. Which makes him an antagonist! Because heā¦ wants to kill Inkās kid for being a glitchā¦ Okay maybe thatās a BIT villainous, but heās just doing his job! Itās nothing personalā¦ right Ink? Rightā¦ ?
Also I know Ink looks SUPER pissed off and protective here but I wanna make it clear he DOESNāT hate Error in this story. Has some.. complicated feelings about him (None of them romantic, Sorry-not-sorry ErrorInk fans, Iām just not into it), but none of them are Hatred. In fact heās tried to befriend Error several times in the past! Though that canāt exactly work out nowā¦ (trying to hunt down someoneās kid to delete them for being a āmistakeā kinda puts a damper on your potential friendship with them :/)
Splatterās soul is indeed a human soul. How this is possible I will explain later, but for now just know that her creation isnāt exactly natural. Itās devoid of any trait, which is why itās white like a monster soul, and has very low DETERMINATION for a soul of its type. Still way more than a monster soul can have, but low for a humanās.
Being a āfreak of natureā like that has landed her quite on Errorās list of āThings to Destroyā
This drawing also features my personal interpretation of the Doodlesphere! I sorta combined the two canon versions, the Floating Islands and Buckets. The Splattertale-verse Doodlesphere is comprised of floating islands that hold deep lakes of paint as entry points into the respective AUs. Each island is decorated with items that represent the AU it leads to!
With this in mind, try and guess which AU is which ;3

Outertale in the distance near where XTale is
and Dreamtale on the bottom left!
The appearance of the island also reflects the state of the AU, hence why Xtale is cracked and leaking (because of its destruction), and why Dreamtale looks so dull. With its stump of a tree and unbalanced paint-lake (it used to be a beautiful mix of yellow and purple)
So yeah, I think thatās all I have to say abt this piece for now! Donāt worry Iām gonna elaborate on these little lore bits in time! This entire story rotates in my brain like itās in a microwave on a daily basis lmao

So I have this headcanon that the amount of tentacles Nightmare can summon is affected by how strong he is via Negativity
Like, in instances where negativity is potent he can summon a whole bunch but when thereās not a lot of negativity he can summon very few.

and itās also just canon to the Splatterverse (splattertale multiverse) in general, as are all my UTMV headcanons š
No everyone your eyes do not deceive you, Itās Splattertale Cross!! With a, bit of an outfit change.
Heās not super important or involved with the main plot, but heās still present in Splatterās life as another Uncle figure for her! (Blame Ink for that)
oh and XChara. Theyāre here too. (They refuse to be involved with/attached to Splatter but are forced to be around her anyway. Such is life when you share a soul)
Our favourite Oreo skeleton has had a bit of a different path in this multiverse than in his canon. I call it the āCross Good Endingā or the āCross Gets Therapy arcā. Because yes he (and Chara) does get therapy. As they currently stand the two of them are living in the Omega timeline, doing their best to process and move on from the horrors of Xtale (and their actions and unhealthy alliances they made after the fact cough cough Nightmareās gang). While not a member of the Star Sanses by any means, Cross is still an ally to and good friends with them. Especially Ink and Dream.
His hack knife is now combined with those bone(?)-dagger things heās got, with the function of both combined and intact. It can split into two smaller versions of itself and recombine as needed.
So yeah! This is a bit of a random and sudden post but I felt like giving the guy an outfit upgrade to suit his current situation in my story, and you guys get some lore out if it too!
