#spinal correction

libby also came to see me & there is nothing better than your oldest friend, who supported me through some of the hardest times in my life - for my mental health - & she made me brownies & brought me lemonade. we were able to talk, catch up & give each other prep talks about different things like uni, relationships, friendships, everything. i loved it. she’s a girl i’ll never get tired of seeing, loving & being associated with.

because of the nature of surgery they had to break 2 of my ribs on my right side & currently i haven’t gained full movement on that side, especially my arm which makes it virtually impossible to wash my own hair which is something that i wish i could do. So... Dad had to come in & put shampoo on my hair because i couldn’t do it. he said & i quote “are you 20 or 20 months, god this takes me back.” i have to say it was a bizarre little moment. 

my first few steps // the moment my dad found out i have tattoos oops. what a beautiful moment & i’m so glad alice managed to capture it. i didn’t film much in hospital, it honestly wasn’t on my mind all that much but this just feels really special x

so it's been a year and 3 months since my spinal correction and 1 month since I had the rib hump reduction surgery (hopefully I'll get an x-ray with the metal plate in from that surgery soon) but I can honestly say opting for surgery was the best decision I have ever made! I feel so much better with myself, I strongly recommend having the spinal correction!☺
