I feel like the concept of Binom has become somewhat of a thing amongst the SKZ fandom. I've seen a fic or two going into it, along with the side fact that Bangchan would definitely be Eddie Brock in this situation. And with the way Chan looks currently, and Changbin being... well, Changbin... (lol)
My big brain would like to just bring up a thought:
Changbin. Beautiful, big, buff, incredibly charming. It makes sense in the SKZ Hot Spider-Verse for him to be Venom.
I mean, hell, the song Venom literally starts off with a Bin-tro that sets off the whole song. We also have Ultra, which is a song about Changbin becoming his "ultra" self, and the music video depicts him essentially injecting himself with a serum that makes him the Hulk.
But like hear me out...
What if instead of becoming the Hulk, the serum were to kinda break down his cells and turn him into what would mimic a symbiote... 🤔
Now stay with me here.
Obviously, Changbin's newfound form would lead to scientists wanting to capture him to study him. But, not wanting to become a lab-ridden science project for the government, he has to latch onto someone he's symbiotic with in order to hide...
And that is when he latches onto Chan:
A record producer who spends his days making beats on his laptop and is currently trying to get his work out there.
Changbin connects with Chan's body undetected. That is, until Bangchan tries to play a high-pitched sound from his laptop that he wanted to sample for a track. Or maybe they even hear the screech of a wailing guitar blasting through a set of speakers coming from the neighbor's. You know, the overly-talkative emo kid with big eyes that moved into the apartment next door recently...
The frequency almost causes the two to split from Chan's body, which is when he realizes something is terribly wrong with him and Changbin has to expose himself to Chan and explain everything.
I see the two trying to live in tandem from that day on; making music together, watching movies together, yelling at the kid next door until they too realize he has a secret... 🚶🏻♀️
But what's funny is that is what got me thinking about this was Bangchan's new haircut. lol
His hair was so long, and now it's so short and kinda messy (in a hot way, like don't get me wrong).
His current haircut and how disheveled he's looked lately just SCREAMS Eddie Brock to me.
I can see Chan staring at himself in the mirror, looking at his long hair, trying to decide what to do with it, and then suddenly a deep voice in his head just says:
CUT IT.
He'd shake his head and prominently tell Changbin he can't because he’s worked so hard to grow it out. But then from that day forward, every time Chan passes a mirror, Changbin's voice echoes about how he'd look "handsome" with a shorter cut.
Long, inky black tentrals would sprout from Chan's shoulder, until finally Changbin's head is floating near his own.
Newly-found white eyes and sharp teeth, but the face still reminiscent of what Changbin used to look like before.
CUT. IT.
Before long, Chan does the big chop and accidentally cuts his hair a tad too much.
It's blonde. It's short. It's fluffy. He looks reminiscent of a baby husky.
And Changbin loves it.
That's all my brain has been able to think about since Chan debuted his new haircut.
His hair just looks so short and messy; it's just the perfect length for me to picture him as Eddie.
And Changbin dying his hair back to black lately has also just gotten me back into my Binom phase.
Han's hair currently and how it's been fading has also been giving me war flashbacks to Spidey-Sung from the Maxident era.
And don't even get me started on how Felix is just Ghost Spider to me...
