I did a mashup of Spideycember and a Huevember color palette challenge last year. I didn’t get around to posting them and I wanted to do more, but I’m proud of the ones I completed!
Alex Ross Studies
After seeing No Way Home I needed to seriously draw some Spidey. So yesterday, with whatever free time I had at work, I did these Alex Ross studies.
And I had a lot of fun! I dont really ever paint on the tablet. Never really. Im not good at it but this helped a lot I think.
The first one was a quick sketch recreation of his art. The second one, I took the pose and lighting he did but changed the design. And the third I did with no reference.
#Spideycember no. 7, #Stegron. I was interested in the character as a kid because he was a #dinosaurman. It didn't take much. I was excited every time I saw him. I didn't see him much though. I couldn't think of what to do with this dude. I immediately thought about #SamKieth and the pose and technique came to me, almost, right away. Day 1 : Mild-mannered. Peter Parker, substitute teacher, freelance photographer. Somewhat weird but approachable. Sometimes disappears for days on end. Married a top-model actress, how the heck did he pull that? Aside from that, a normal dude.
Day 13 of #Disneycember! It looks like the #Spiderverse will be invading my Disney posts for a little while, which is funny because I was originally planning on doing #Spideycember before I got the news, so now it all comes full circle!
