I've dropped the Lemon Demon concept for now as it wasn't really going how i wanted and I think I'd have to start from scratch. I do still have some fragments from it that I like the idea of, but it all could use some tweaking.

My Clone High fic is also on the backburner and if i do continue it, it will be on a far smaller scale. less of a full rewrite and more of a supplemental that would provide more depth.

My current idea is a SpiderTroy fic, as I think for as attached as the two properties are, there isn't nearly enough continuing content for the concept.

I have the story beats to the first arc with the first big conflict all planned out in a google doc, along with what each chapter should contain (should be about 14 if all goes to plan). the first chapter is about 90% done.

one fic that inspired the core conflict for me was 'personal implications of altruism' by an anonymous author, so credit will be given to whoever was behind that. they really got my brain ticking on how I could expand the concept. There are also some other really sweet spiderman community fics on ao3. I might make a rec list. It is more focused on Britta, but 'Emotional Consequences of Spider Bites and Web-Slinging' by dearzoemurphy is really cool!

Basically a quick rundown on what to expect in my fic:

The trio of Flat 303 are our focal characters. Annie is, admittedly, more on the sidelines to start with, mainly due to the choices of Troy and Abed, but she becomes very crucial to the main plot. I will be writing with trobedison in mind, though as an AroAce the relationship aspects probably won't be too prominent as I don't really have too much experience to draw from, so it could likely easily be read as a QPR.

The main villains are going to be the AC cult and their machinations to get troy under their thumb. however, plenty of smaller physical and social conflicts will be sprinkled amongst it.

I am planning on having some light crossovers mixed into the plot, though these won't be crucial to the first arc. Knowledge of these extra shows likely won't be essential to understand what is going on, and the tangential characters could easily be treated as OC's instead. Their involvement is directly tied to the characters you actually care about to forward their development, not shoved in for the sake of it.

I'm really going to try hard to have enough cool ideas to keep me and you interested, but also not get too overambitious and overbog the idea before it can get started.

In order to ensure I actually get some of this done regularly, I might enforce a specific time each weekend where i HAVE to write SOMETHING. Granted, it might not be this fic, but anything is good practice.
