Once Loki made it to Midgard he was in no condition to continue without assistance. He quickly put the scepter to use enslaving a few people at SHIELD to help him escape. Time went by where Loki stayed on the down low so no Avenger or SHIELD agent would be able to find him. It was much needed time though, because he was in the process of healing.

He spent some time outside disguised watching and studying the Midgardians. From all his research his conclusion came to this: most of them were full, self centered creatures with no sense of danger. There was one that caught his eye though.

He had been walking near what was a university when he noticed Midgardian, who seemed to be hypersensitive. The young looking man was constantly on the look out. Their eyes met for a split second and Loki couldn't help but study him and wonder what made him so different.

Curious about this man he followed very carefully before grabbing him by the black hood of his hoodie and pulling him into an alley. Loki's illusion faded, and he revealed himself as he pinned the other against the brick wall. "Make a sound and I will slit your throat." He threatened the scepter already in his hand. The fear on the other's face made him smirk.

“You sure got yourself into it this time, Wilson.” Wade spoke to himself as he waited outside an apartment building in Queens. He’d taken plenty odd jobs before. Whatever it takes to keep the bills paid and food coming, right? But this was almost too ridiculous even for him. 

If anyone had told him last week that he would be approached by Tony fucking Stark for a job, he’d have asked them what kind of drugs they were on and where he could find them. Sure, Tony Stark is filthy stinking rich and probably has a lot of enemies, so it wouldn’t be too shocking for him to need a couple scumbags taken out, but no, Stark wanted Wade to babysit some high school kid. A very expensive high school kid apparently. Some lucky lady clearly got her ovaries on some of that playboy Stark juice and won the lottery because there is no way a random kid could mean that much to a man and not be his son.

Wade had been lost in his thoughts for a while leaning against a pretty expensive (borrowed) car that he almost didn’t see the youngest person exiting the building. He quickly pushed himself off the car and jogged over to the boy.

“Hey, kid, you wouldn’t happen to be Peter, would ya? You look like a Peter.”

“I can explain!” he screamed in panic, then nervously looking around. “Okay I... I actually can’t explain that... can we just pretend you haven’t seen anything?”

Oh, god. His head was pounding. His body felt so heavy, as if his lean figure had several tuns. Peter got up from his table in the coffee shop and stumbled in a way to a bathroom. His legs were shaking, when he finally managed to find a wall he could walk beside. He didn’t make many steps though, as his legs suddenly gave up. Leaning to the wall, he slowly slipped on the cold concrete floor. Oh god, oh no. Somebody help me, please.

He said nothing, breathing softly against the floor. He knew it will pass - it always did pass... probably just a bad case of flu, he thought to himself. Probably nothing. 

“Do you think plants have feelings?” Peter asked, playing with a small ball he was holding in his palms. “Why are you looking at me like that? I mean it!”
