mακεup m⊕ηdαψ 🎹 𝕨𝕙𝕚𝕥𝕖 𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤 🎹 Sorry for posting so late, life happens. 🤷🏻‍♀️ This week, we were both wearing fur coats so it felt appropriate to do a look inspired by 60s party girls, Twiggy & Edie Sedgwick. 🎹 I know I did black with white accents last time and this is essentially the same product list. But! This time I went out on a limb doing very bold straight black cat eyeliner *underneath* and then white liquid liner where my usual black cat eyes would be. Crazy, right? 🎹 I wanted to see if I could pull off this #60sinspired thick white lines on top look. I wasn't entirely into it, but I realize I definitely use black cat eyes as safety net, I feel they will often pull elements together.... But #ProTip of-the-Week : 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕘𝕚𝕔 𝕠𝕗 𝕝𝕖𝕒𝕣𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕖𝕩𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖𝕤 𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕟 𝕠𝕦𝕥𝕤𝕚𝕕𝕖 𝕠𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕥 𝕫𝕠𝕟𝕖. In the end, you're just wearing it for a couple hours at the club or one day at work or maybe even a movie where its dark and no one's looking at you anyway... So I encourage you to try something you wouldn't normally do, if you're not into you still learned from the experience as to how you could improve it next time. or, at worst, you learned you don't want to try it again. 🎹 Next time, I would still use a leeeeetle black liner on top, such as the very last "inspo" slide suggests. 🕸𝓜𝓪𝓴𝓮𝓾𝓹 𝓜𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓪𝔂 🕸 🕷sᴘɪᴅᴇʀ ʟᴀsʜ ʟɪғᴛ🕷 Apparently thanks to Dior's Spring 2018 show, the Twiggy inspired #SpiderLashes look is making a comeback. 📈 So I'm doing a slightly different MM this week as this does not feature a makeup look I did myself. Today I was lucky enough to be chosen by @meganthewaxer as an experimental test subject for a fashion lash lift. 👩🏼‍🔬 For those that don't know (including myself until recently) a Lash Lift is a perm for your lashes. Instead of the traditional mechanical lash curler one might use every day, your lashes are curled over a rod and the various stages of perm solution (familiar to me as a hairdresser) are applied and processed. The trick was to see if she could get them to form dolly-like points in clumps. I think she did an amazing job at getting a relative cluster, especially on her first try! This has been very interesting for me because I actually hate thick clumpy mascara. I hate the way it feels and it tends to leave black dust on my face. I usually only wear mascara because my lashes are blonde and have light tips. So I am wearing mascara in the after photo, but only enough to darken the ends. Annnnd it was trickier to put it on without breaking up the clusters, if anything... So I hate mascara clumps - BUT - I do love dolly eyelashes! That is my go-to style for fake lashes. But I'm not going to glue on eyelashes for everyday (cos I always lose some when I take them off!) so a lash lift was really the only way I could achieve this without fakes or clumps. 🕸🕷🕸🕷🕸 if you want this look, book a Lash Lift with Megan Moore @cutenailstudio and tell her you want to try Spider Lashes!
