Spiced chocolate chip cookies with a warm spice blend and rich chocolate chips.
Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened. 1 cup brown sugar. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg. 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves. 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips.
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
