this took a while but here is a thing for daphne /Â @spellboundcd
February  14th,  a  Valentineâs  Day. A day dedicated to loved ones. For years that day didn't hold much meaning to him, and at this moment, this day didnât seem to be a different one from other days. A heavy sigh slipped from his lips and with his free hand, he ruffled his brown hair. This day had been a long one for him â once again he had been trying to declare his father dead, but once again, he heard the same accusations as the few times before this time. He wasnât a Death Eater, even if the wizarding media wanted to paint him as one, and, unfortunately, it seemed to be what others chose to believe.
He was annoyed, frustrated, and the overly sweet atmosphere in the city didnât make him feel any better, but â luckily â he was able to apparate to his home. He took a deep inhale when he saw the familiar manor in front of him. He could feel how his shoulders relaxed, and his inner peace was forming again. He had a bad day, but he didnât want to show it. Maybe this special day didnât hold any special meaning to him a few years ago, but now he had a reason to celebrate it.
Theodore walked towards the Nott manor's door with a beautiful bouquet of flowers in his hands. A bouquet of someone specialâs favourite flowers. His steps were quick and as he walked closer to the door, there was a warm feeling forming in his chest. Happiness. His earlier frustration was turning into happiness as he was thinking about the evening he was going to spend with Daphne who was now officially his loved one â a few years ago things finally changed between them and they had begun dating.
Nott walked in, opening his black jacket and his scarf, leaving both on him as he wanted to surprise the Greengrass as soon as he could. He wanted to see the smile on her face and forget the morning and how exhausting it had been. His eyes wandered around his childhood home. The manor looked the same but still, at the same time, the manor had changed. It felt like a home again. The time before the war it was a lonely place and it only reminded him of things he was supposed to be. It only reminded the heavy expectations placed on his shoulders. His steps were quiet as he walked into the manor, looking for the blonde-haired young woman, and finally, he found her in the kitchen.
"Hi," he greeted Daphne, walking next to her and he wrapped his left arm around her, pulling her shoulder close to his chest, and he placed a gentle kiss on the temple. âHappy Valentineâs Day,â he said and gave the flowers to her which he had hidden behind his back. There was a smile on his lips and a soft look in his blue eyes when he looked at her. The current look on his face was a drastic difference to the teenager from Hogwarts, who had the infamous âI hate you and everyone else in hereâ -look on his face most of the time. He had grown, and he had changed â but this was a side of him that only a few were able to see.

â Is that why youâre down here all alone ?? Would you object to company . . . ?? Quite truthfully it sounds like you could use it . . . â
âI love the way youâre dressed.â (from Daphne)

The social elite, the rich kids, the pure-bloods. They had many names, and Theo had heard all of them. And now it seemed that all of them had been gathered to celebrate a birthday. He wasnât even sure whose birthday it was, he didnât even personally know the birthday hero but his status obligated him to be here â all of the elite society was here as they wouldn't miss a chance to show their own power and greatness. For them, these gatherings were just a game to play, the game of power and pride. Â
He had come here alone as his father was still imprisoned, and even if Theodore had been wanting to skip the party, he couldn't. The Nott family had to be presented here along with other families of the Sacred Twenty-Eight. This was one of those gatherings where he had to show his face if the status of his bloodline meant anything to him. So, here he was, leaning against the balconyâs door frame with a champagne flute in his hand, dressed in a nice, tailored black suit.
His eyes wandered around the room as he took a sip of the glass. He wasnât interested in socializing with the older generations â the topics of discussion revolved only around the same things; where his father was, what he had planned for his future, how his school was going, and when he was getting married. Especially the last topic was an unpleasant topic to talk about, but he understood that when they were at his age, at the age of seventeen, they probably were already planning the weddings of their arranged marriages. However, those things werenât on his mind.
Nott noticed someone approaching him from the corner of his eye, and when he turned to take a better look at that someone, he recognized a familiar figure â Daphne Greengrass. As she came closer, he straightened his posture and quickly looked her up and down. When her words reached his ears, a smile broke the indifferent mask on his face which he has been wearing for a while now. He knew that he looked good, but compliments never hurt anyone. âYou donât look too bad either,â he answered, turning his body towards her. âHave you enjoyed the evening here?â
