#speculation welcome

I'm sorry in advance. The answer I'm about to give has frustrated everyone I know who wasn't there, but not even my best friend OR my spouse have been told what happened. All I'll say is that I was in high school, and I'll be taking this one with me to the grave.

...That being said, I'm going to a theater production of the show at the end of October! It will be the first time I've seen it since I got banned from the late-night movie events in the aughts. :D

I love Arthur Christmas as a movie but it raises a lot of questions that aren't answered during the runtime, nor during any special features I have found.

Mrs. Clause mentions a treaty with Greenland. Are world governments aware of Santa? If so why didn't they just contact NATO and tell everybody that the sleigh was not in fact a UFO?

Are those with Clause genes able to withstand greater cold temperatures to the point where they can survive wearing jeans and a couple sweaters in the arctic (and in space for that matter)?

Assuming the current Santa had done 70 missions as of the events of the film and probably began missions when he was at least 18, he's gotta be almost 90, and Mrs. Clause looks quite old too, yet their son Arthur looks like he could be maaaaybe in his early 30s at the very latest and seems a lot younger? Did they have him super late? How old is Steve?

Grandsanta never mentions his wife or any spouse at all. What happened to them?

On that note, where did Mrs. Clause come from? Presumably she was a regular person living somewhere not in the North Pole when she met the current Santa. What is Clause courtship like?

If the Clauses happen to only produce a daughter/daughters, can one of them still be Santa? 

What do the Clauses do in the off season? I want to see that movie.

Is there some secret world organization responsible for procuring supplies for the Clauses? Both toy-building materials and living essentials? That should be in the movie too.

Why is this promotional art so misleading?
