Now that the Gala is over, I can finally post my piece for the Specord Special Gala. This year's theme was called "Divine Whispers" so I drew Misty in a mermaid dress and a purple shawl that resembles Suicune's mane.

In the manga, Misty formed a temporary alliance with Suicune, whom she gained respect as a trainer from. However, she was injured, and Suicune had to team up with Crystal in the fight against the Masked Man instead.

HEY HEY Y’ALL IT’S GALA TIME AGAIN

This year, I got to do Platinum! We went on a “Journey to the West” theme with @harmonial-arts​, who is doing Diamond, and @/Grass, who is doing Pearl! Platinum is here supposed to be Tang Sanzang, also know as Tripitaka, a budhist monk who travels to the West with his protege and who is often attack and kidnapped by demons (because eating Tripitaka’s flesh can make someone immortal).

This year, the gala theme was also link to signature Pokémons, so I chosed Empeleon, one of Platinum’s first companion who traveled with her during her journey in the DPPt arc!

Since in “Journey to the West” Tripitaka travels on a white horse, I added Rapidash to the scene!

Her outfit also include two Griseous orb, which was the theme of the Sinnoh group, and you can find the Berlitz Crest; the symbol of her family, on her crown!
