Status 140. Forest of Dean, UK Feb 2022.
Finally got out in the woods for a proper rip on the new bike with the boy. Went to watch a few friends compete in a mini downhill event. Reckon myself and the clone will be entering one soon. Even pulled my old Spikey Jack lid out of retirement. Unfortunately my old Cannondale C-soles shoes have finally given up after 20 odd years so some new shoes are on the shopping list.
Impressed with the Specialized mullet set up. I didn’t intend buying one as I had my mind set on a Trek Remedy but it seems that there is a shortage of bikes and waiting times are fairly lengthy here in the UK. The Status was on the rack in the shop so once it was set up tubeless and given a quick check over it came home with me. With hindsight it was a good choice and I’ve no doubt this bike will serve me well trying to keep up with the youth as he gets stronger and more skilled.
