Between sunrise and sunset—
I cannot walk through all realms— I carry a yearning I cannot bear alone in the dark—
What shall I do with all this heartache?
— Joy Harjo, from "Speaking Tree," Weaving Sundown in a Scarlet Light
Everyone in the hermit or fandom needs to realize that just because you dislike something doesn’t mean you need to go and attack someone for not liking it.
Personally? I don’t like the ship art, but do I go harass the people making it? Nope, I block the tags and the person and move on.
This is a relatively small and quite young fandom, this shit happens. There’s gonna be people you don’t agree with. There’s gonna be nasty people. But that doesn’t give you the right to harass them.
And suicide baiting is wrong. No matter what it’s about. I don’t care if you’re sending it to the nastiest person ever- if you stoop to the level of telling someone to kill themself, then you aren’t mature enough to be on this website.
Most of the people in this fandom are minors, from what I’ve seen. I’ve been on this website long enough to know that young creators in a fandom often make iffy choices in content because they haven’t realized the harm it may present.
So what do you do if you see content you don’t like? Block the creator, blacklist the tag, and move on. You can’t convince a person to stop doing something by berating them, it’ll just harden their position.
And for the love of god, please be civil. No clowning on this post mkay?
speaking tree
I had a beautiful dream I was dancing with a tree.
—Sandra Cisneros
Some things on this earth are unspeakable: Genealogy of the broken— A shy wind threading leaves after a massacre, Or the smell of coffee and no one there—
Some humans say trees are not sentient beings, But they do not understand poetry—
Nor can they hear the singing of trees when they are fed by Wind, or water music— Or hear their cries of anguish when they are broken and bereft—
Now I am a woman longing to be a tree, planted in a moist, dark earth Between sunrise and sunset—
I cannot walk through all realms— I carry a yearning I cannot bear alone in the dark—
What shall I do with all this heartache?
The deepest-rooted dream of a tree is to walk Even just a little ways, from the place next to the doorway— To the edge of the river of life, and drink—
I have heard trees talking, long after the sun has gone down:
Imagine what would it be like to dance close together In this land of water and knowledge. . .
To drink deep what is undrinkable.

She began with her list Right on top was her mother and okay what was that…

A Speaking Tree
My school had planted many trees across the campus, especially around the school-grounds. The banyan tree housed the granite idol of Lord Ganesha shining in the sunlight and covered mostly with red and white hibiscuses. The neem trees housed the crows. Every large and majestic tree on the campus had a green nameplate nailed to it and a scientific name written in white. While the nameplate on trees was generally ignored, the students, as they walked past the trees, stretched their tiny necks to watch out for the crows on the branches of the trees. The students stood in front of one such peepal tree. They attempted to repeat the lesson from their recent science class in chorus. They sang ‘ficus religiosa’ to the peepal tree. They repeated its scientific name after the teacher and smelt the leaf without touching it the last time they visited the school’s medicinal garden. As students left for home, they smiled at the Ashoka tree and wished it ‘good evening’; and giggled among themselves. The board read ‘the speaking tree’ instead of its scientific name ‘saraca asoca’. We avowed that the tree danced to our utterances.
Tryst with inevitable

On death, it is only the physical body that becomes non-existent. The spirit, the soul, never dies. Emphasising this, Krishn says in Sankhya Yog of the Bhagwad Gita that weapons cannot shred the soul, nor can fire burn it, water cannot make it wet, nor can the wind dry it, therefore, the wise, that is, the spiritually enlightened beings, lament neither for the living nor for dead.
