THE AROMA OF SWEETS AND TEA WAFT PLEASANTLY, the sort of enticing smell you'd want to greet you when walking into a small, undescriptive cafe. it was something to be relished in, at least, especially when two of the patrons sit far in the corner, out of sight from most of those coming in and out. still, anyone curious enough would likely find one thing out of place upon the table 一 a gun?!

Bringing this out on the first date... ❞ was it even a date? better yet, was the gun even real? ❝ Is one of us gonna be murdered? In that case, that just leaves oooone little question, ❞ she trails off playfully, leaning forward with a tilt of her head and a cutesy smile.
❝ Should I go first? Or, since it's yours, let you have the honors~? ❞ whether or not sparkle knew what she was talking about, there was still an expectant gleam in her eye, as if she was all too curious on what the other would do.

“Hmm.”
He stared intently at the cards she had laid out over the table, neither of their hands having touched them since he had put it back. Perhaps the previous times he had been not attentive enough to get it wrong, but this time he kept his eyes glued to the exact card he had picked. If he lost any more rounds, he would have a hard time explaining why his funds diminished so quickly.
Of course he was familiar with such cheap card-tricks, thinking it was nothing but a foolish pastime. However, the illusionary aspect of it did entice him, even if for some reason he had trouble figuring out her secret. How preposterous! The Doctor pointed at the card he was so sure yet again was his - the King of Clubs - frowning as he finally anticipated a victory.

He's gonna squint his eyes, looking directly at her, knowing he's seen her before... a loud silence filled the air before Edward realized who she was, "well, if it ain't miss 'im not stealing anything'. I swear you're stalking me around or something, kiddo."

Something about the woman before Sara was familiar, but for the life of her, she couldn't pinpoint what it was. Perhaps it was the air of mischief around the other, which reminded her of certain youkai back home. Or perhaps it was the way she was looking at Sara which, to her, made her think the other recognized her from somewhere.
Or perhaps she was a stranger and this was all in her head.
"Can I help you?" she asked, hoping the stranger would explain why she was blocking the way.
