Yeah, that happens. Luckily, it looks like pretty much every body you can land on has access to either every material or shops that can get it for you, as long as you don’t mind scouting around for it. And, y’know, getting riggity-riggity-wrecked by Sentinels while doing so.

I would’ve loved to but I’m in the weird space of hating everyone who comes in but still being too nice and committed to customer service. It makes me perfect at my job and I hate it.

It’s less that and more that it’s something that’s always been in our wheelhouse because before the redesign, we ran the YA department. After the remodel, the YA desk got removed and the three of us got moved to “roving librarians” which means we wander around and see if anyone needs help (spoiler: they don’t and if they do they find a desk) and the second floor shelvers never really keyed to the idea that they had to shelve the YA stuff now, so we just kinda kept doing it because otherwise, it never got done.

Yeah, I was looking at all the crap that’s been thrown at you lately. So far, this has not been a particularly kind year.

Which sucks, because this one was probably my favorite of the bunch so far.
