Some Potter characters for another Sparknotes series back in 2016, illustrating a list of sad fictional sacrifices. I can't link it to the rest of the series because their website went through some big overhaul ages ago.

The Great SparkLife Migration
Once upon a time, SparkLife was a prosperous nation. It was a safe haven for many ā the lonely, the quiet, the marginalized ā and flourished as the settlers finally found themselves a place in the world. It was ruled not by one, but by many, each with their own talents and vision. The citizens were architects of the nation just as much as the rulers were.
But nothing lasts forever. Small cracks appeared in the running of the kingdom. One by one, the rulers stepped down or were called away. Citizens found better opportunities elsewhere.
After years of decline, it was announced that SparkLife was in for a massive change. Budgets would be cut and industries shut down. The city would become more focused, utilitarian. And the citizens realized the place they had cherished for so long had vanished.
So they began to leave, seeking other refuges, or building their own. But they brought their culture with them, their art and customs and memories, so that SparkLife was not truly dead. Pen pals kept in touch. New nations rose, attempting to be as vibrant and powerful as SparkLife once was.
While the migrants were upset about what SparkLife had become, they still fondly remembered what it had once been. Their lives were trees, and SparkLife had been their roots.
