1) Why did you choose your URL?: 

because when I first started playing Nat on tumblr three years ago, it seemed like every Romanoff muse had a variation of the ‘natasha romanoff’ or ‘black widow’ as their url, and it was downright confusing -- not to mention it rankled at my sense of individuality. Moreover, in the confines of my headspace, Natasha had expressed a certain fondness for the Makarov PM as a weapon already, but I got to thinking about the symbolism in that. The Makarov PM was put into service by Soviet military in 1951, as an upgraded and ideal replacement for their existing standard sidearms at the time, and was the military-issue sidearm until the USSR’s dissolution in 1991. It utilized a off-standard ( to the NATO countries anyway ) calibre bullet specifically because the Soviet military wanted contingencies in place -- to make their munitions unusable for NATO forces in the event that any were captured of confiscated in a conflict. ( I could go on but this is getting long so -- ) One could say that the Makarov pistol was the Soviet’s specialized weapon for a very particular war, and that -- much like Natasha -- it was created to be fully utilized for Soviet glory and to Soviet ends, but incompatible and essentially worthless in any environ other than the original. That Natasha is the exception to the rules of her design is a testament to her own endurance, determination, and adaptability. Hence, makarovs.

2) What is your middle name?  

Marie. ( Beneath the giant paragraph of my last answer this one looks minuscule in comparison, doesn’t it? Bless. )

3) If you could own a fairytale/fictional pet, what would it be? 

Shit, man. Pokemon of any kind would probably be awesome; Pikachu, Eevee; I dug the entire Dratini evolutionary chain; Lucario would be sweet and sarcastic. Yes, yes good. Also, other than Pokemon; some kind of bakeneko or many-tailed fox demon, a la the anime nerd in me. Might also be sweet to have an honest to goodness dragon, though. ( And by ‘might also be sweet’ what I mean is would be totally fucking rad, friend. )

4) Favourite colour? 

Impossible. I like color-combos, rather than just colors. Silver&Gold, Silver&Black, Eggplant&Terracotta, Crimson&Goldenrod, Emerald&Gunmetal, Mint&Chocolate, Champagne&Strawberry etc.  (My problem being; in a world full of colors, how do you pick just one? )

5) Favourite song? (currently?) 

Torn between No Interruption, by Hoodie Allen, and Take Shelter, by Years & Years.

6) What are your top five fandoms?

Marvel. Bond. Fast&Furious. Criminal Minds. Naruto. ( Maybe not in that order. ) Honorary shoutout to Star Trek, Sherlock, Justified, & Game of Thrones.

7) Why do you enjoy Tumblr? 

For the friends I’ve met here, mostly, and for the endless entertainment of being on the dash. It’s nice, to have someplace to run away to -- either to rp, or just reblog things on my personal. I enjoy the sense of community, most days -- when tumblr’s not tearing itself apart of something or other. But mostly, friends. I joined tumblr rp because there were a handful of people I saw and went, goodness, I’d love to play with them, and here I am -- still playing with them. :3
