Got tired of painting the laundry rack and needed something totally different so I attempted to be like @elipolite (go follow him, btw, amazing work) and do some fancy decorative knife scales. It's a good thing I don't throw away nice scraps, like ever. I found a piece of "stabilized" spalted sycamore from @fullcirclewoodworx that fit perfectly as a set of Bookmatched inserts for my @crkt_knives @kenonionknifeworks Shenanigan. Swipe through to see the build process. Lots of shaping, sanding and fine tuning the contours. Sanded to a buttery smooth 600 and finished with @generalfinishes arm-r-seal.
