The nostalgia is real, and I’m a sucker for it ✨
The name of the game here isn't about commercial quality ☝🏻
But to appreciate the wholesome urban explorations that paved the way for a life-long career in photography and graphic design pursued in London, Ontario 🌱
For both myself, as one who loves street photography and of course, the lifelong residents of downtown @cityofto, looking back over 10+ years might hit a little deep 🔄
Revisit my explorations of the city through Danforth and Spadina, captured with my Sony A300 camera, conquering the city's highrises and urban back streets 📸
Read the correspondence and collect an array of photography locations in the downtown core of Toronto 👉🏻

Sometimes a fever dream of an idea grabs you by the lapels and will not let you go until you paint it. That's what happened with this watercolour of Baba Yaga station here, an urban metro station standing on a pair of funky lil birb legs, under which the subway passes. Please imagine the lil guys on the platform got down there by way of an escalator or some stairs I didn't feel like painting. Just don't question the logistics tbh. Torontonians may recognise that Baba Yaga Station here is inspired by an entrance to the Line 1 platform at Spadina station, which indeed used to be someone's house, and was apparently enough of a significant building that they just... built a subway entrance directly into it. It's a weird, cool building that I love a lot, and I'm pretty sure the upper portion of the building is still a habitable home. Wacky!
