Witchspace Update
Thanks to community support, I am finally making this post. Thanks y'all.
During the last full moon, I decided it was time to get my little witchy space/craft/work space/altar refreshed, rejuvenated, and pulled together. With the full moon streaming through the windows, I cleaned, cleansed, reorganized and redecorated with some pieces that found me recently. I'm very happy with how it all turned out, and it's been so much easier to practice more regularly. The objects in this space are a good mix of pieces from or acquired with dear friends, and pieces that have found me throughout my solo adventures. This balance of older with newer, fondly familiar with resplendently reserved, is very grounding and encouraging to me. So, here's some shots of the new space both direct and indirect, for I feel its beauty is present throughout.
Would it be considered in poor taste to post pictures of my lil witchy workspace/"altar" that I made in my room? It's really come together and I'm proud of it.

Getting into the habit of blogging is proving obviously more difficult than expected.
My dear friends got married last month, and for their honeymoon they travelled all around New England. One of their stops was Salem, MA, and they very thoughtfully and lovingly brought me back some wonderfully witchy gifts (see photos). I'm so excited for the new year so I can start using the datebook, and excited to explore the beautifully illustrated divination book soon as well. Not to mention the lovely art and stickers as well. I'm very blessed to have a few very supportive friends when it comes to my journey with my craft.
2 other witches and I got together to celebrate the most recent New Moon, and it was a great night of laughs, relationship-building, craft, and communion. Unfortunately I've been sick as of late so I wasn't able to gather with them for the Full Moon, but hopefully we'll get to do it again soon.
A Happy Taurus Season, Indeed
Had a lovely birthday this week.
Got tattooed yesterday with a dear, dear friend as a generous birthday gift in a safe, cool, queer space by a safe, cool, great-energy, they/them, queer, fellow witch, and extremely talented tattoo artist.
This morning I did a reading for that dear friend, my first for someone other than myself since I re-committed to my tarot, and it was so clear, specific, and positive.
Just went to search for a New Moon playlist for tonight, and found I had ALREADY made a TAURUS New Moon playlist last year that I had completely forgotten about.
A happy Taurus Season, indeed.

I guess this is a bit of like a random update post? I've made much more progress on my book of shadows, now over 200 pages and 42,000 words. I have finished preliminary entries/descriptions of the Major Arcana, and the Wands and Cups suits of the Lesser/Minor Arcana of the Tarot. I've also added sections for fictional witches (TV and movie representatives of witches) and deities. Though I am not anticipating getting into deity work myself, a base-level study of deities from different cultures/practices is something I feel will be handy for when I encounter witches that do deity work, or are devotees.
Tonight is a sort of societal coming out for me as I am attending my first ever "witchy" event at a coffee shop, after-hours. It is an event for the Autumn Equinox, with some magical vendors, a tarot reader, some workshops, and some festive treats and drinks. This event is also in the town I am hoping to move to within the next 6-8 months. I'm going to be brave and attend this event by myself- so fingers crossed it goes well and the community is cool.
Also- "Agatha All Along"?! What a witchin' good time of a show. And The Ballad? It's absolutely been on repeat for me since it dropped on Spotify. I'm so excited to get to look forward to this show each week through October. The timing of this is pretty kismet as I've been ramping up my studies- it'll be a fun yet topical reprieve for me.

Already over 30k words and 170 pages in my witch studies journal. While at this point it's all material I've re-typed from other sources, boy is that still a lot of work. You never realize how big the tarot deck is until you're re-typing the full description of each card from the 1910 Waite deck. I'm through the Major Arcana and the Four of Wands and I'm realizing I still have so much more to go. At least the Lesser Arcana seem to have shorter descriptions.
