Wait so like! Are Simon and Baz still enemies?? :0 cuz like if Si isn't like devoted to the Mage and stuff then there's no war so they wouldn't be enemies??? Maybe?? Or would they still find a way to piss each other off?
Baz and Simon are still enemies, but to a lesser extent. There is no real need to try and kill each other, but Baz is still an angst machine who masks his feelings with violence. They still fight and bicker like a married couple because Baz can’t get his shit together and confess.As for the War, just because The Mage isn’t in power, doesn’t mean the War doesn’t happen. He’s just not a key player in it. At least, not yet.In the book, Natasha was killed in a vampire attack. This shows that there was fighting even before The Mage.So yeah, the War is still happening. Simon just isn’t thrown into the centre of it.
