BrainChip Holdings Ltd has reached a significant milestone by launching its Akida™ AI technology into low earth orbit aboard the Optimus-1 spacecraft by the Space Machines Company. This achievement is a crucial step forward for BrainChip in the SpaceTech industry, where advanced AI solutions are vital for learning and decision-making in challenging space conditions.

The Akida AI technology is integrated into the ANT61 Brain™ computer, which acts as the primary intelligent control for repair and maintenance robots tasked with remotely repairing damaged space vehicles. This demands high-performance AI computation under severe energy, power, and thermal constraints, making Akida's event-based, neuromorphic architecture perfect for delivering top-notch performance with minimal power consumption. Moreover, Akida's on-chip learning capability enables the ANT61 Brain to learn and adapt, a key feature in space environments where variables are constantly changing.
