" yeah, we're friends. i mean right now i'd probably say you're one of my best friends. " π
PROMPTS FROM GREY'S ANATOMY
He needed something to stop the doubts that were always floating around in his mind and his heartβ¦ or maybe he needed them to be validated.. He felt bad for asking, but Adam needed to hear the truth. He was never shy to it as he found people to be.. overly "honest" with him whether he wanted it or not βhe learned to just accept it. What Jackson said to him, playful teasing dressed up as another low attempt to humiliate him had Adam on the edge. It was stuck in his head like burnt tar. "That dude ain't your friend, you moron. He only talks to you because he needs to get out of some parking tickets or whatever the fuck he could possibly want with you." He had avoided talking to Jackson ever since the end of that conversation and Adam hoped they never spoke again. He could not understand why any of his colleague gave a shit to who he hung out with. Bee was a nobody to them. Just some dude who annoyingly happened to pop up every now and then. Sometimes Adam thought they were as foreign to him as he was to them.
He grinned as Bee confirmed that he was in the category of best friend. It certainly made him feel better. "Does best friend want to buy me lunch?"
β we're friends now. you can ask me for help. β + bee
for muses that are getting to know each other
Adam frowned. He wasn't sure if he even wanted to talk about it. What was there to ask help for when Adam didn't know what to do. Things were becoming incredibly complicated with work that he was thinking about quitting. A thought he hated to entertain but his options were terribly limited. Stay and ride with what was happening or leave. If he left, he had no idea what he would do or what he could do with his life. This job was everything to him now. It was his home away from home.
In pure Adam fashion, he elected to ignore what was troubling him in lieu of something Bee had said. A smile crawled on his face. The troubled look he had melted away into playfulness. "We're friends?" He asked. Teasing. "Did it, by any chance, hurt to say that?"
