Second, if I may Ramble: the game is NOT ABOUT THEM!!! people acting like its the end-all be-all of Yaoi is killing me!!!! Like listen I love a good doomed relationship. But guys. The reason these two characters are so interesting and layered is because of the context of the main story. Stripping them down into "two guys who kiss" redacts all of the actual meaning of the plot!!!! The whole reason we're made aware of them even interacting is to push the point of the themes already being made clear by the main cast (Abandonment, holding onto a past as a coping mechanism, autonomy, etc). It makes me insane!!! I'm so glad someone understands my frustration with this!!!!

I think what peeves me off the most is people who do spamtenna shit with them like, Getting Back Together in present deltarune timeline and it's partially because of this—their dissolution not only directly ties into the story but it's literally the biggest most defining part of their relationship, so making it so they get back together in my eyes is basically their attempt at undoing all of that irreparable stuff. Also because they just would not fucking get back together present day, absolutely not.
Like, sure whatever you can depict them being lovey pre-split off (even though i Also don't think they would do that even then), that's fine, whatever. But to make them be like that AFTER chapter 3 is insane to me. Just write your OWN characters to yaoi out at that point, because that is NOT them.
