The events take place in the "Lovely princess".

Lucas, offended by the actions of the royal family (namely, the fact that magic was sucked out of him throughout the dream and part of the mana was taken away, and he should protected and not have been disturbed), wants revenge. But strength and magic are not enough for him, trying to catch Blackie, Lucas encounters Athanasia and sees in her not only a deeply frightened child, but also the potential for magic and his opportunity to take revenge on the royal family.

"I wonder what will happen if the emperor's unloved princess becomes the next ruler of Obelia?" he thought and decided to carry out his plan.

He returns a few months later, having obtained a branch of the World Tree and replenished his mana. He introduces himself as the Great Wizard Lucas and demonstrates his abilities, which is why the head of the Dark Tower has no doubt who is standing in front of him. Evan wants to introduce Lucas to the emperor and introduce him to work in the palace, but he chose to teach Athanasia magic.

Everyone knew about the emperor's dislike for the princess and understood that the wizard could fall out of favor and tried to dissuade him, but Lucas was adamant in his decision.

Lucas becomes Athanasia's closest servant, separating her from Lily and the other servants in the Ruby Palace. He literally hides in her shadow, watching what is happening.

These beloved daddy's daughters could become best friends with half a word understanding each other. They have the same vibe. 

They can be more sarcastic than adults (thanks to Lucas'/Callisto's upbringing).

They use an innocent face and pretend to be dandelions when they do things (Dad's school).

A real miracle of beauty and grace (mom's genes).

Their grandfathers are ready to level everyone and everything to the ground because of just one tear (Duke and Claude).

It is not in the care of Anastasius that Jennette remains. It he is in the care of his daughter.
