"Oberhausen has no place for racism". I wish PSAs like this weren't necessary, but here we are. Yesterday I met some lovely ladies from Equador at the laundromat. We shared our stories. They were refugees, and Germany is now their home. There is no homeland to go back to. This city has the largest Syrian refugee population in Germany , and I've been reading articles about programs available to help them integrate and get/create work. So spare me any anti-immigration bullshit. It is not easy, but if we play nice, everyone can thrive. (And if we stopped installing puppet governments for the gain of the rich, that would be nice too) I am seeing it with my own eyes.
