[ ✞ ] Three times, three times that Leon held Conrad’s hand.(And one of his own volition.)The first was after a battle, a dance with the devil the two had faced; death was knocking on their door and the two knew it. By chance, or by Mila’s grace- The Masked Knight mustered the last of his strength to strike that demon down with his blessed lance. And perhaps in that gallant moment, Leon felt the need to take a gander and grasp upon Conrad’s hand- thanking him.Thanking him.Mayhaps that was a normal reaction, he thought. Since warmth and comfort was scarce in the darkness.---The second time was in passing, and by then Kamui made it known that Leon was a rather affectionate type. “There’s nothing wrong in being soft.” He said towards the man with eyes ever in slits. And then, the orchid archer griped upon the knights hand once more; swinging hands in tow- sticking his tongue out at Kamui; whom grimaced upon the sight.“I...think he’s fond of you, Leon.”“Not my type, sweetheart.”“Then wait, wait a minute! Why are you holding my hand?”Laughter ensues as they walked away. Perhaps they were only getting back at the mercenary for being ( as politely put as possible ) an ass.--The third and final time, was when all hell broke loose.
She was gone, taken away. And left to his own devices; he was scared. Conrad knew he had to continue having the strength to see things through; but it was rather difficult to hear Boey and Saber be at ends with one another. Of course, everyone was afraid- fighting for their lives. In hopes to be reunited with Celica once more.In amidst of the panic, the masked knight hopped off his horse for only a moment to greet the sniper while they were taking care of a wound. “ . . . Do you mind? Is this alright?” Leon tilts his head wondering just what in Mila’s name did Conrad needed. He nods however, for he knew there was something off in the tone of this once gallant knight’s voice.“....Thank you.” A whisper, as he takes a grasp of their hand, with a gentle squeeze. His eyes in that very moment were reminiscent of a loss child. That was when the archer was reminded that even the most bravest of knights, falter for a moment. And perhaps he needed a bit of warmth to see it through.“...If only Valbar would done the same.” Leon chuckles softly, squeezing back. “But it’s alright, if it’s from you. Everything’s going to turn out just fine, Conrad.”And that was all he needed.“Don’t fret, friend. I’m sure anyone would be lucky to have someone as compassionate and warm as you are.” His fingers loosen it’s grip, as the knight finds the resolve to continue onward.  “All right! I must go- Anthe--” He corrected himself, knowing her comrades know her by another name. “Celica needs us!” He hops on top of his steed and back into the fray-
