Bloodlines
Bart has never been more glad for a party and social interaction in his life. The idea of having to stare at the stupid research paper for another minute was going to fry the eighteen-year-old's brain out, and Bart had found himself wishing the Team could call, and say "Impulse, please, we need you so much."
But today was Jay and Joan's anniversary, and here was Bart, far, far too late for the party. He found himself rubbing his temples tiredly already, and--oh hey. Call. Grinning a bit as he picked up, he listened to Dick.
The smile had slowly slipped off his face as he walked towards the Garrick's home. Well, there had gone that idea.
"Careful kid," Bart found himself saying as he hung up on Dick, walking into Jay and Joan's house--why had the door been open?--and Bart eyed this imposter in the yellow-and-red 'Kid Flash' motif unhappily, "If you are what you say you are, revealing too much could crash the whole time stream."
He stopped, hands on his hips. Why couldn't this phone call have just been a 'Hey, Bart, tell Jay and Joan congrats' phone call, not a 'your second-cousin-from-the-future-has-the-audacity-to-call-himself-Kid-Flash' phone call?
