AJ Maddah has tweeted that he has "Just finished all the various packages and sending to bands for approval. Hopefully will be able to announce all shows in the next 48 hours."
What we know so far according to Maddah...
There will be signings at all of these "mini festivals."
Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide will get outdoor mini revs with 15 to 17 bands, 2 stages, no clashes. Adelaide has been moved to Sunday 25 September to avoid the AFL Grand Final clash.
Melbourne venue is most likely to be the Myer Music Bowl on Friday 23 September.
Working on format for Sydney and Perth now.
Sydney venue will either stay at Parramatta or move to Homebush.
Sydney mini festival will still be on 25 September with club shows during the week.
The expected price of the mini rev tickets are $97.00.
DEVIN TOWNSEND will come here for Soundwave Festival 2012.
WE ARE THE OCEAN will be here for the mini festivals.
ALICE COOPER will not headline or play at these shows. He'll be performing his own shows in most cities.
SUM 41 will end up doing a headline tour later this year.
VAN HALEN is definitely not performing. Maddah says that their fans wanted a headline tour and maybe they'll get one now.
MADINA LAKE will perform at Soundwave Festival 2012.
D.R.U.G.S will perform at the mini revs, as are PANIC! AT THE DISCO, THE USED, SET YOUR GOALS and FOUR YEAR STRONG.
ALTER BRIDGE look likely to be playing headline shows.
WHITECHAPEL and WATAIN to play double bill club shows.
HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD look likely for Soundwave Festival 2012.
About 30 bands will come out for the mini festivals but at the time of writing, not all had reconfirmed.
There will be no separate punk and metal days. The metal bands will go into evening club shows, whilst the punk bands will perform at the mini festivals.
