An exhibit of eight BCL shortwave radios that have been used and loved for a long time. It generates random noise, and various city frequencies receive local broadcasts in real time. past The eight shortwave radios that have received voices and music from all over the world have kept us informed from the past to the present. It sounds like auditory hallucinations warning us of the future.

Vienna seen and heard as grass near water, bird at the city end, hippo roaring, train departing. Translated first into light objects in the space, sounds go back to the earphones, put in rhythm. Facing the shining parallels, the viewer is free to imagine the city with his eyes and ears open. INTERROGATING THE NOISE: Dirty Electronics & Dushume
A cacophony of rhythmic stutters polarising with brutal deep bass – interrogating the noise! Object Noise Clusters made from everyday objects – pots and pans, oil can, oven shelf, coffee pot, clock gongs – are hung from the ceiling and intermittently vigorously shaken by motors. These are placed next to DIY loudspeakers strung-up creating an intense dialogue between acoustic and electronic sound. While rotating speaker horns bounce clicks around the space. Ink drips from a cannula onto a piece of out-stretched vibrating ‘noise’ paper.
