       ‘ i would be more careful talking to rebel mages, ‘ evee offered her advice. normally the young teenager wouldn’t feel like she had the RIGHT to offer such suggestions and advice to others, but evee had first hand experiences with rebels, even before she ever awoke with a mark on her hand. ‘ today it may have ended peacefully, but i know that many others mean to spill blood... ‘ she tilted her head towards her staff that was slung behind her own back, making sure the other was aware that she was also a mage.                     sc!  ||  @soultamed

𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚  𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬  𝐢𝐭  ,  𝐭𝐨𝐨  .  though  ,  the  warden  was  just  generally  paranoid  .  a  trait  earned  over  the  past  eleven  years  &  countless  betrayals  and  ambushes  targeted  against  her  .  skin  crawls  when  silence  clings  to  places  such  as  these  .  forests  should  have  life  ,  animals  scampering  away  from  their  footsteps  ,  possibly  living  trees  growling  and  swiping  at  them  with  their  branches  .  but  it  was  only  silent  .  likely  ,  it  was  just  peaceful  ,  or  the  tales  of  dryads  snatching  adventurers  were  true  .  though  ,  she  didn’t  see  any  elven  ruins  beneath  the  foliage  around  them  .  she  doesn’t  want  to  frighten  gwyn  ,  though  ,  as  fingers  tighten  around  the  pommel  of  her  sword  ,  stony  facade  betrays  no  anxiety  or  fear  .  ❝  collect  the  herbs  you  need  &  we’ll  hurry  away  .  ❞

      “It’s not a distrust of MAGES,” she clarifies, eyeing the sickly green glow of her own left hand. “It’s a distrust of MAGIC.” And, most likely the short thief apparently WIELDING it---there were some things dwarves simply weren’t meant to have. Among those, a connection to the Fade.

Sabina’s eyes are heavy, they fight against her attempts to open them. But they do open, the light of the day filtering through a half opened flap of a tent. In the courtyard? Healers tents maybe. Something. She lazily rolls her head to the side, gaze falling on Gwyn and offering a confident smirk.  “What happened? Did we win?” She gives a laugh, cut short by a searing pain that shoots from the still healing wound. She clutches at her side and lays back on the cot with a groan. That was going to hurt for a bit. “I’m fine. It’s fine. Don’t worry. Not the first time I’ve been stabbed.”
