Which is crazy cuz I rmb reading this bad boy back in flipping 2019/2020 smth, so seeing it had updates was such a cool surprise!! But I noticed the newest chapter was released over 2 years ago, and was wondering if you’re ever gonna continue it? 😅

If not, that’s completely fine, obviously! No pressure, I’m just curious 😙

Agh sorry I keep forgetting to check tumblr. My brain is not here. I have a few asks about Soulfell so I’ll put them here too!

So as far as Soulfell goes I’m afraid I definitely lost steam, had art block, lost the hyperfixation, was moving, and ultimately I just couldn’t make myself work on it anymore.

That said, I did a poll a little while back to see if people wanted to know how it was gonna end and the plot I had planned and stuff. The consensus was yes!

With such a weight off my shoulders I immediately,… did nothing about it LNDKDKGJLFNDKD

But I do plan on doing a write up. I just have to organize my gibberish notes and make it all a little easier to read. I also had aspirations to do the animatics I had planned, and I might still try now that my life has calmed down a bit, but for now the only new Soulfell content will be the summary/plot I release at a later date.

Im rly sorry because I desperately wanted to finish it, I had big plans, and I didn’t want to drop yet another project, but as it took years and years to get through even the first act, I started to really feel the drag of it. I still haven’t fully remembered how to just draw for the sake of something that isn’t a Big Project. I ended up making big (less big) projects for my current hyper fixation too and I’m so bad at small project. KNDKGNGKDN

You know what would be funnier? If Eibon from Soul Eater was the guy who raised the barrier during the 1000 years of Chaos, and just over time it got mistranlated/misremembered as Ebott instead lol.

Otherwise, yea, I can see the mountain being named after the sorcerer who created the barrier. If it wasn't Eibon and instead was actually Ebott, then perhaps Ebott was friends with Flamme (Frieren's master).

Though, honestly I have no idea how I am actually gonna add Frieren into the story unless this time takes place in Frieren's past so that once we get to Mahito's rebirth/Mana's birth, that is when Frieren's first journey with the hero party takes place (and then like 50 years later would be the events of the show/manga itself).

Kenjaku doesn't want to feel bored.

I feel a want and a need are being met here.

(insert "Okay, but that's worse. I mean, you… you do get how that's worse? Right?" meme)

Knowing Kenjaku, he probably has a way to allow himself to escape TADC domain. That man has every kind of trick up his sleeve and would know about the domain which makes it less effective against him (which is why Fumihiko and Ham would be better opponents because Kenjaku can't really counter them as he has no real plans for them or their humor).

Plus, if you want to put Kenjaku in TADC domain as a prison, if he doesn't have an escape, that means you actually have to keep the domain active which would end up drawing people in there are some point leading to the problem happening all over again.

The domain has to be closed to "save" everyone inside it, and once it is collapsed it won't have the ability to open again. Or at the very least it won't have the ability to keep people locked in. It would become a regular domain that can be gone into with enough magical control.

There's also the point that Kenjaku wants to see new and unexpected stuff. Something that Caine wouldn't be able to produce constantly enough for Kenjaku to be content.

So unfortunately TADC domain can't work as a prison and won't be a good entertainment alternative for Kenjaku, and I doubt there is any talking sense into him swapping sides.

Coward, write the rest as a fic.

In reality anything is great, in a perfect world it would be a comic like the original but alas. Capitalism and burnout exist. My sympathies, and i hope to see more of it some day: your work is AMAZING, but we have to remember the wellbeing of the artist is priority :)

Perhaps if you wanted to do a comic but felt The Agonies, a really rough sketching of whatever quality you felt like comic would be good?

HELLO! I wish I could put this part BEFORE the poll itself but basically here’s where I’m at:

I don’t want to say Soulfell is done because it’s not. I have so much planned out and the story as a whole is a complete idea. BUT I ALSO know myself and I also know how long it took us to get here.

Hundreds of pages and several years of regular updates and we’re barely halfway through my original plan. *stares into the void* I was in my 20s when I started the Soulfell comic. MDNDKFNFKF

ANYWAY. I don’t want to say I’ll never pick the comic pages back up again BUT in case life never stops exploding or my brain never returns to being able to juggle multiple art projects at once, I wanted to give some OPTIONS so you guys at least know how the story goes.

Since I’d rather the rest of the story be out there anyway, no matter what I decide there might still be doodles or the occasional pages that go with whatever I do.

Anyway PLEASE VOTE. I, of course, reserve the right to do what I want :tm: but I truly really want to know what you guys would like more. I’m bad at making decisions dkshdkfndhd
