FAQ
Ok so what is this?
It’s a game! More specifically, I’m making a super hard platformer game for PC (and hopefully Linux and the Mac).
So you are copying Super Meat Boy?/ I have no idea what Super Meat Boy is, but the term platformer is super vague, what is the game exactly?
The idea behind both games is very similar, not gonna pretend I never heard of the platformer genre and I’m exploring the limits of what we are calling games. This game is heavily inspired by Super Meat Boy (which you should check out if you don’t know it, especially if you are into platformers:  http://supermeatboy.com/ it’s pretty damn good), BUT there are also many differences that will make playing this game different from SMB. A lot.
What differences?/Why should I want to play this game?
The controls: In addition to the classics such as running, jumping and wall jumping (the staple of many platformers), you have two additional tools to your disposal:
The jetpack cancels any vertical momentum you have and pushes you forward. You use it to practically always be in the air and go FAST.
The great data beam is even more useful (in fact, not using it will be impossible in most levels). Turn off firewalls to clear a path, shut down robot enemies (It’s not murder if you make em’ hibernate) with a simple click or even build your way forward with this beautiful technological marvel.
The story: This game has a plot which is a bit longer than GET TO NEXT AREA COZ YOU WANT TO WIN. You wake up in a giant and empty city flooded with water, right beside a flying drone that hates your guts and makes it very clear. What is happening? You’ll find out once you play (Hint: quite a bit)!
The polish: I’ve been writing the code for movement for about half a year now. I want moving to feel so good you’ll never stop pressing the jump key, even when you don’t have to. And so far I’m doing pretty well. The camera, the particles, the jump arc, it’s all part of my great plan.
Ok where will I be able to get it?
-Itch.io
-Steam (If it will be greenlit wink wink nudge nudge)
When???
There is no planned release date right now. I don’t wanna promise something and then fail. That’s not the way I roll. Once I have a set date, I promise I will tell though!
