distinguishing features - At 5’11 he’s nearly the tallest in his unit, only overshadowed by Jaime Loyd. Brown curly hair worn a bit on the longer side and brown eyes. His hands and arms are all heavily scarred, aside from that he has few other normally visible scars. No visible tattoos. Of a leaner muscular build.

five facts -

- makes small woodcarvings in his free time, mostly of animals and mostly as gifts. puts a great deal of unconscious effort into choosing a fitting animal or animals for a specific person. s y m b o l ism✨

- commanding officer and captain jace greywolf’s second in command.

- a bit of a cross between poe dameron and han solo but gay because disney is a coward and i am not. and by saying this i mean he is the best pilot in the yet to be named rebel army and he likes to think that he’s sauve and witty.

- a bit claustrophobic, especially around large crowds.

- has a severe case of the mom friend. it is in fact incurable.

And the events of the night… well they had never supposed to have happened. Though she figured few people went through their jobs expecting to get sliced to pieces. And well maybe… given her line of work. She should expect exactly that more than most.

“It missed the artery, you weren’t in much danger of bleeding out,” he explained. His tone softer, full of as much gentleness as the doctor could truly offer.

“Like I knew that.” Tessa crossed her arms over her chest with a slight wince.

So Soulcode is a half-baked sci-fi/futuristic/cyberpunk/dystopian WIP. I mean... it hardly counts as a WIP tbh, cuz... it’s really just a vague idea right now. Still struggling to even come up with a main character 😅

Buuuuuuut. The general idea is kinda. Soulmate AU?

Most everyone’s supposedly born with a code on their wrist—probably gonna be real similar to like a barcode—that matches with their ‘soulmate’. Uhm. But really no ones born with it, it’s just a randomly generated code that gets branded/tattooed at birth. Like government sanctioned doctors take the newborns away as soon as they’re born and they get marked before parents even get to see them.

The codes are completely randomized by a computer program. A lot of people don’t even meet their ‘soulmate’ because. Who’s their to meet really? Either no one else actually has their code or, it’s completely random that other person could be anywhere. But a lot of people do find their ‘soulmates’ too, believe to be a stroke of fate. And a good deal of those relationships work out. Because I mean, to an extent love and relationships can be a choice. “Hey this persons meant for me, we can make this work”

Others... not so much. (Jace/Devon for example)

Uhm but. Basically. It’s gonna be about this person (whoever this nameless/faceless MC is) who gets tangled up with this group who see the system for what it is, a bunch of bullshit, and are trying to take it down. And they absolutely believe in it, the whole soulmate thing, but they’re stuck working with this group for whatever reason. Not by choice, but circumstance. And slowly realizing that yeah, they’re all right. This is just a random computer program, and it’s not fate at all. And that love and matters of the heart shouldn’t be determined by a string of code. So they start willingly helping this group.

“No—No! If I isolate your code and create a backup—“

“Shiba. We both know that even if you do that, once the kill switch is activated I won’t be able to connect to any external operations without my own system being scrubbed. Rendering me functionally useless. My purpose was always this—“

“No. I can figure something else out. I just... I need more time.”

- veterinarian turned medic cuz people with any medical knowledge at all and willing to fight against the government are in short supply.

- used to live alone with her mother. Joined the military after her death and now lives on base full time.

- will adopt and care for any strays in need. Yes that includes humans too. Especially tall soldiers who are far too reckless while trying to prove to everyone that they’re not their father 👀

- looks like a cinnamon roll, is actually a cinnamon roll but guess what she could absolutely kill you too
