So This Is 30
I’m 152 days into being 30. Clearly, I am qualified to have the best opinion on what being 30 means. Being 30 means….
1) I don’t understand Snapchat and now I miss Myspace.
2) In order to see my friends I have to pay $70 to join a recreational adult kickball team but I’m too fat to run.
3) My right knee hurts sometimes. My left knee is fine.
4) I can drink alcohol on Friday and Saturday nights but rarely partake because it makes me ‘bloated’. Plus alcohol is full of ‘empty calories’.
5) Keeping a list of passwords cause I have so many accounts now. My credit card was stole when I was 28 so now I now I create impossible to hack and remember passwords. Password123 is no longer a viable option.
6) Investing in name brand face washes that smell like rose and lavender cause wrinkle prevention.
7) Still paying student loans. Still thinking about Grad school.
8) Realizing everyone made better choices than me in their 20s.
9) Being the old lady.
10) Being the kid.
So...this is 30?
I recently turned 30 and thought it might be a good idea to either blog - or right a few tidbits about the differences in life now that I’m the big through 3-0. Biggest one? I am lame. Like SO lame. I’ve been on the lame-train for a while now but I seriously just had the realization of how lame I was when on Saturday night I was straightening my hair at about 8:30pm...to go no where. And then I stayed up til 4am watching Netflix. I don’t know who I’ve become...but it scares me.
