Continuing the plot now, and i really dig the contrast between kiryu and majima’s apartments. If memory recalls, kiryu’s is pretty filthy, it’s a young man who doesn’t particularly care about his things (and maybe himself at this point in his life) enough to take care of them, but the first (and if i’m right, only) time we see it, it’s during the day, it’s full of light, there are beer cans everywhere, he still is LIVING there, even if not particularly well. Where as with majima, we see his place at night, lit only by moonlight, he doesn’t care enough to even have things that would require care, all he has is a place to sleep, a window and a table with an ashtray on it (the only bit of “indulgence” he has, and i’m sure it’s solely to help manage with the stress of running the grand). I’m sure if i sat and cooked a little more i’d be able to pool together more thoughts (plus i have already seen posts talking about majima’s room specifically, i feel fairly confident it was @majimaisms but it could have been someone else, if it was i’m so sorry please correct me, i want to get to know more rgg analysis blogs and stuff) but for now i’m gonna continue playing and see what kind of engagement this post gets so i can hear what other folks think!
