Holding On and Letting Go
[ If it was one thing she wished was different as the life ran out of her, was that she could say goodbye. That she wouldn’t die alone, but that was not happening. Because for every ounce of blood she lost, the closer her life span was to end. To just finish it all. She was ready to die. Too much bad had come from her being alive, being a döppelganger. Now it was finally over and she was going to find peace seeing her parents along with everyone else who died trying to keep her safe. ]
Elena’s breathing was labored as she laid there trying to lift herself into a better position, yelping for each wrong move her body made. Her body was screaming to let it all go, to succumb to the darkness that was whispering to close her eyes and fall asleep.
