“What happened to your door?” the Urisk asked, standing at the threshold to Rosevale Hall. On her shoulder was slung a large carpet bag; she clutched a waxed paper packet in her spindly hands. Her expression started out equal parts nervous and wary, but she grew stone-faced as she took in Tamlin’s thinner frame, mussed hair and general air of hollowness. It wasn’t as bad as it had been a year ago, but… “Cauldron boil me, High Lord... What happened to you?”

Tamlin glanced upwards at the door, half-wrenched off of its hinges, then gave a nonchalant shrug. “I did.”

Hmm. Debating finishing this for Tam week. Thoughts?
