Renji attempts to grab Zabi and more ends clinging to one enormous bicep. Holy shit, this guy is huge.

Zabi: (•̀ᴗ•́)و let’s go

Not usually- Renji’s more recent personal growth involves taking personal responsibility. Knowing what is zher fault, and what fell out of zher control. 

The most zhe feels is probably in regards to Zabimaru. Both Zabi and Orochi have some internal strife, a lot of which Renji either shares or unintentionally creates. The three of them are used to taking care of each other but they can also be like an echo-chamber for each one’s emotions.

Zabi was the closest thing to a family member Renji had after Rukia left. And Renji, being an expert at pushing people away and bottling shit up, became used to dropping all those pent-up emotions on Zabi. Looking for reassurance, guidance, and support. Desiring to be coddled because no one else would or could give zhim that positive attention. Meanwhile Renji has been turning a blind eye to Zabi’s self-destructive behaviors, his extreme masochism and martyrdom respectively. The two of them have a relationship built on love but also on need and guilt. This may be why their dynamic is so extreme and there are so few personal boundaries between them. Renji still isn’t sure what to do to help Zabi aside from offering unconditional support.
