like, i’m not sure how much crossover there’s gonna be between tommy’s audience and the soothouse ogs, but for those not in the know; this video absolutely reeks of soothouse content.

i’m living in hope that most of yall are at least tangentially aware of soothouse, but on the offchance you’re not, i’ll do my best to explain it. soothouse was the channel wilbur ran and was known for before he got his start as a solo creator. it was a group channel that did content which tommy’s latest video absolutely feels like an homage to. a lot of the people involved in soothouse are still around and still hanging (most notably rhianna, who’s a successful streamer in her own right) and it’s always a bit of a where’s wally because sometimes someone will post a vlog (fundy’s most recent one was good for this) and it’ll be like “hey i know them”. they were one of the big boy channels in the reading reddit genre when that was in its peak back in 2018/19, but we’re essentially the genesis of an entire genre of content that branched away slightly from the reddit mold.

For anyone who doesn’t know, dnd stands for dungeons and dragons and is basically roleplay, so if you enjoy the dream smp you’ll probably like it! From what I can tell from the first episode you don’t need a deep understanding of dnd either.

It includes for amazing female creators, all of which are also lgbt+

They are:

Niki Nihachu: have you ever seen a woman so beautiful you cried- Niki is a really talented cc and artist and her roleplay for her dream smp character is fucking amazing. In the campaign, she plays a kalashtar cleric woman named Lyaria (sounds familiar?), who could crush me  is super badass while using Nikis high pitched voice, which is kinda sweet 

sophietexas: Sophie is friends with quite a few mcyters and also on the sbi rust server, where she plays a really cool character as well! Her character is a fire genasi with a really cool design, which Sopie reflects with fire make-up

Rhianna: Rhianna runs the channel this takes place on! She used to be part of soothouse, which apparently might make a return soon 👀, and is generally super cool. She’s the DM and already showed super cool worldbuilding.

And finally Minx: who is very well known for being on love or host and fucking iconic. Her tiefling character has a no bullshit attitude and its really fun to watch!!

Also the other ccs, like Fundy, who is clever and creative in his roleplay, his “charismatic” dwarfen bard however failing pretty much anything cool he’s trying to do, which is hilarious.

David, who was also part Soothouse and is lovely, playing a  halfling barbarian

and Hbomb, who I left for last because holy shit that man can get into character and act. His character is super fun and bounces off really well of the others, especially Minx’s fellow tiefling. If he put half of this energy into the dream smp he’d be in the center of every animatic, I swear
