Project: Uniform Shirt Design for Summer Rising NYC 2021 Design by: Felize Tolentino Summer Rising is New York City’s free summer plan for any child in grades K-12 who wants to participate. Summer Rising will address academic and social emotional needs of our youth through tailored support. These programs will provide a bridge to next school year and allow students to reconnect with one another and with their schools. They will address unfinished learning while providing avenues for recreation, exploration, and fun.

Project: SONYC Afterschool “Grateful Challenge” Poster for thanksgiving. Date: 2020 COMPASS NYC also known as SONYC for School’s Out NYC serves as a program for homeless facilities and middle school after-school activities. Structured like clubs, the model offers young people a choice in how they spend their time; provides rigorous instruction in sports and arts; and requires youth leadership through service. The City itself becomes a classroom through trips and opportunities for instruction beyond a traditional learning setting. To celebrate thanksgiving virtually, everyone was asked what they were grateful for; to emphasize optimism, unity, inclusivity and hopeful mindset moving forward.
