I've had this question since I first discovered your fine art, but I'm too shy to ask, so I'll do it anonymously. How do you manage to draw jackals + fangs well? I'm dying of intrigue!

How to draw Sonic the Hedgehog, by yours truly
hi id like to ask if you could tell me how you sketch and draw? im trying to achieve a certain art style w sonic characters and so far you are my main inspo because i just. fgghHH i love the way you draw so much !!
Helloo!! Sorry for taking so long to reply but thank you so much!!!!
I finally figured out a way to word/ show how I draw sonic specifically. I might add a few other characters later but I hope this helps a bit!
When I draw, I usually don't really use lines to help me with the anatomy other than specifically the lines helping with the perspective on the torso and head! Other than that I tend to think a lot about shapes when I draw. For example, Sonic's head in an almost perfect circle, while his torso more like a rounded trapezoid shape. His limbs are most of the time cylinder shaped, fingers are more like rounded parallelepiped. As for anatomy, Sonic's head is reaaaally big; his torso is almost as large as his head, and his hands are the same size as his torso and feet/shoes. His legs are about the size of his torso times 2. Arms and legs are about the same size, but I change their size depending on the hand's position so it doesn't look disproportionate!
A few example of me drawing sonic to try and help illustrate what I mean more:
Reminder that this are not rules and the anatomy can be broken to give a more fluid pose! Or you can have your own anatomy too, go crazy!!
As for how I paint, I genuinely have no idea how to explain but here's a link to the brushes I use (I will also try to retweet with a timelapse of my most recent piece, 1 video per post limit :P)

Could you maybe give us some insight in the structure of your characters? I try to draw them but I really don't understand the basic circle, their proportions, etc.
I’ve never done a tutorial before so lmk if something is unclear or you wanna know about something else bc I’m gonna focus more on the body for rn
So first I start with some really messy guidelines! (I don’t always follow them exactly but they help)
Then I start with the face, which follows those three circles in the head, and I stop once I complete the circle for the head and do the body. Which I divide into two sections, one circle and one ‘v’ shape thingy so I know where the legs go! (And it helps to establish the curve of the back and the position of the back quill before or during this time)
Then I do the quills ! I start from the bottom and work my way up ! (They vary in length depending on literally whatever)
Then you just add details !
I draw girls the same way except they get three body circles instead of two !
Then I do the face (usually partially) and divide the body into a circle and ‘v’ shape again but the third circle helps me know where the butt is lol
Then add detail !
BONUS ! I didn’t know if you meant like my oc’s specifically or just sonic characters in general so I gave you a general but if you’re having trouble with the proportions of my characters specifically here’s a height chart!
And something to remember is that I try to differentiate male hedgehog body types by how big their chest is and how deep the ‘v’ shape is ! Chuck is a lot taller and physically stronger than Jules (and Scourge if you wanna use the average 3′3″, 75lbs for comparison) so his chest is a lot bigger !
Happy drawing! I’d love to see your drawings of my characters!
Just a simple tutorial of how I draw sonic character bodies! Note that these are just the most generic ones! Feel free to mix and match stuff to create new body types (take big for example! He's really different to the rest of the cast!)
