Oh good. So the creepy stuff earlier was because of a lack of speech skill, rather than, uh.... anything else.
I don't think this problem is because of Larimar's lack of knowledge on how to do the job. It looks more like the ride itself malfunctioned, and there is no way of stopping it.
Then again, maybe they should have thought of that before putting gems on the job in a place where "tons of horrible accidents happen...every day"
While it's pretty hilarious seeing nobody take her seriously...
...This didn't seem like all that special an occurance. A lei, a "cheer up", and a "you know you want to"? It could just be the straw that broke the camel's back.
Or, this could be a common occurance. She spends a while trying to instill order on the ship, the Amethysts calm her down for a while and she enjoys herself, and then she realizes, "Oh no! There's no order here, it's anarchy! I need to fix this!" and starts back up again until the Amethysts calm her down. I think that'd be pretty interesting.
Well, at least we know that Pink modelled herself pretty closely to the original. We could have assumed that, since Pearl was the one who came up with the idea and she would've paid attention to such things, but I didn't expect the resemblance to be that close. Though they do seem a bit pinker than Pink did. I could be misremembering though.
At first, I was confused
Why would they both think that no one knew?
Eyeball was pretty easy to figure out. She's a ruby, and not exactly the brightest, though with her experience, I had had high hopes for her. Oh well.
Aquamarine was a little harder, but then I remembered that she thinks everyone is stupider than her. Easy enough after that.

*Of course, it's about getting the chance to beat on Steven, but I like a good spar every now and then myself, so I'm not holding that against her.
The problem here is pretty simple. Steven is directing her to the school so she can find out what she likes and who she wants to be, but she already knows. She likes fighting. She likes winning. She likes being able to overpower and dominate strong opponents. She wants to be a warrior, a fighter, someone who seeks out those thrilling fights and is able to get through the other side. Right now, Steven is the ideal opponent. He keeps bugging her. He is (in her view) attempting to use her Diamond's name and gem to get what he wants. He is possibly the strongest fighter on Earth right now (judging by how he managed to go toe to toe with Spinel even without attacking at all (not sure if she would have heard of that, or considered it special), and the fact he's a diamond). She's basically about to live the dream. I hope Steven realizes that, and doesn't back down from this.*
But Steven, they are supportive of each other. They support taking you down... together! Isn't that a beautiful reason to fuse all on its own?
I do wonder why they think fusing is going to let them beat Steven. What power is it going to bring to the table that can take on a Diamond?

*Ok, so I was expecting a more traditional classroom setting, and shame on me for that. I'm sure there are places on campus where that happens, but this isn't just a place of learning. It's a place of self exploration. Finding the things that you like and want to be a part of you outside of your perscribed role. Not many people find that while sitting in a lecture hall.
So, teachers/group leaders! We have: * Bismuth teaching shop class * Peridot teaching Herbology * Vidalia observing art * Blue Pearl drawing a model fabulously (as is everything else she does) * Yellow Pearl being a model fabulously (as is everything else she does) * Garnet teaching meditation techniques (and apparently all sorts of other things too) * Pearl doing...that (wouldn't they already know how to do this? Homeworld has always been depicted as being more advanced than humans, even before their invasion... Maybe she's just showing them the differences between the technologies, or how human's specifically talk on the phone. If it were someone else, I would assume it was an attempt at standup comedy. (Hm... That has potential, actually.)) * Amethyst teaching people how to be independent (I foresee no problems arising from this whatsoever)
Quite the diverse course load. I wonder if any of them are considered mandatory? If any of them would be, I would guess Amethyst's one, but it actually seems to have the least people in attendence, so probably not.*
