Hi siblings, good morning! Some ideas popped into my head a couple days ago for another SomewhereSequel drabble. Be warned, you may choke on the sheer aubundance of fluff in this one.
Also Iām using song titles for drabble names now, like SOWK chapters. And I used this song from Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse because screw you.
Sorry this oneās awfully short, but anyways, have fun and enjoy!

You awoke at 5:12 am to the sound of your phone vibrating and the screen lighting up. Usually, it your phone wasnāt able to wake you up, especially at this hour, as you were a pretty deep sleeper. Oh well. Barely conscious, you stretched your arm towards the nightstand to grab your phone: it was a message from Max.
What was Max doing up at this hour? And how did your phone wake you up for this? Must have been some sort of motherly instincts. The thought comforted you. Opening it up, you read that it was actually a short string of messages, something somewhat unusual for Max. They read:
Despite your senses being muddled due to exhaustion, you felt a pang of worry. Was something wrong? No, it couldnāt be, you thought. If something serious was off, heādāve come in here for help. You decided to text back and find out what was up.
August fell asleep on my chest and I canāt move. I need to go to the bathroom
A wave of relief washed gently over you. It was nothing to be too concerned about. Still, you found yourself grinning from ear to ear, because letās face it, that text was one of the cutest things youād ever read.
Augustus Flowers, known as August, had been Maxās boyfriend since before heād come out of the closet as bisexual at the end of 7th grade, and now they were in 8th grade and still going strong. He was a very sweet boy who could be a bit soft-spoken, and you could always see him giggling at Maxās jokes, helping him study, or just hanging out with your son.
Their interests and personalities were not the most similar, but it wasnāt enough to drive them apart. They really respected each other, and, from your understanding, they just sort of clicked for those reasons.
You thought they were a really great couple, and you and David supported them every step of the way. The same went for Augustās parents, thankfully. Max was always welcome at their house and August at yours. Once youād finished dwelling on the adorability of the whole situation, you had to respond to him.
Still, it was around 5 in the morning, so you decided to get back at him a little for waking you up before helping out.
Whatever. What do I do. I donāt want to wake him up
ā Max. That. is. Adorable.
Alright cool but I need to get up.
This isnāt fucking funny mom I really need to pee.
Reading that, you had to cover your mouth so your laugh wouldnāt wake up David. You took a deep breath, shook your head, and went back to texting.
ā Alright, alright. Youāre gonna have to just get up. You could try to be slow and careful, but heās probably gonna wake up either way.
ā But trust me when I say he wonāt mind. After all, youāll be getting straight back to him, right? Nothing to worry about.
You sat there for a few more seconds when he responded again with:
There we go, you thought.
ā youāre welcome, love you too. Night Max.
You smiled again and sighed, turning your phone back off. Now you could rest even easier.
