((The book is better as in much more extensive. Pretty important parts are missing in the audio, like the aforementioned "plummeting to her death" scene, but the audio is also extra painful because Sophie saying awful stuff to Sylv always is mehehe

In Love and War Ace goes with Jan and co. to attack the Hoothi in a ship, and for those of you who don't know, the whole crew of the ship ends up dying. Ace gets jettisoned out of the ship just in time, and starts basically plummeting to her death in a escape capsule.

The Doctor bargains with Death for her life and she survives that adventure, but in Human Nature (aka like 20 books after Love and War) Seven pays the debt to Death by giving her John Smith's (aka "fobwatched" Seven) life.

I’m not really this way about characters, but DEFINITELY with ships omg.

I'm definitely like this with ships, too. Even if it's a ship I initially like, if there are just too many people in the fandom, then almost inevitably I seem to get annoyed by one thing or another until I eventually just stop liking it all that much.
